Key Announcements
- The two countries approved the “Programme for the Development of Strategic Areas of India–Russia Economic Cooperation till 2030”.
- Several agreements/MoUs were signed, covering:
- Temporary labour mobility and cooperation on irregular migration between India and Russia.
- Cooperation in health, medical education/ science, and food safety between the respective ministries and agencies.
- Academic and research collaboration between institutions in India and Russia.
- Broadcasting/media cooperation via multiple MoUs between Indian and Russian media organisations.
- Cultural-exchange agreement: an MoU for the exhibition “India: Fabric of Time” between the National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy (New Delhi) and the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve (Moscow).
- Visa facilitation for Russian nationals: 30-day e-Tourist visa on a gratis basis and Group Tourist Visa gratis, on a reciprocal basis.
Intended Scope
The cooperation package spans economic, social, cultural, educational, media, labour-mobility, and institutional collaboration, providing a broad, multi-sectoral framework for bilateral engagement over the coming years.
