The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has introduced automated issuance of Free Sale & Commerce Certificates (FSC) for eligible exporters of items not covered under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940.
What changes for MSME exporters?
- Eligible applications can now be issued automatically through the DGFT portal.
- Applications that require verification or do not meet the automated-processing criteria will continue to be handled manually by the concerned Regional Authority.
- The rule-based, risk-based workflow is designed to reduce processing time and compliance work.
- The new system supports paperless processing and faster turnaround for exporters.
Effective from: Trade Notice No. 24/2026-2027 dated 31 August 2026.
