Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh urged MSMEs to invest in research and development, upgrade technology, and build partnerships with institutions and industry to become globally competitive.
He highlighted the potential for MSMEs in drones, AI, robotics, cybersecurity, advanced electronics, defence systems, space and quantum technologies. He also identified quality, skilled talent, market access and finance as key pillars of growth.
MSME takeaway: MSMEs should aim to move beyond being suppliers and work towards becoming technology developers, system suppliers and exporters.
